September General Meeting: The September general meeting is September 15th at Sheridan Park Community Center in Bremerton. Doors open at 6:30pm, meeting starts at 7:00pm.
We will be inviting this year’s recipients of our Conservation Camp Scholarships to tell us about their experience. We will have pizza and water.
Hatchery Volunteering: Hatchery volunteering is well underway at Gorst, with Grovers expected to to pick up soon and run into the fall. Thank you to Lou Rodriguez and all of the Poggies who have already been volunteering.
The tribes require a background check in order to volunteer and this year there will be a new process for all volunteers, regardless of background checks completed in previous years. The tribe has given us the process for registering as a volunteer and completing the background check. If you’d like to learn more and get involved please talk to Lou Rodriguez at a meeting.
Camp Easter Seals: Thank you to Poggie Howard Kauffman and all of the Poggie volunteers who have supported another summer of smiles at Camp Easter Seals.

Summer Picnic: Our summer picnic was on 8/8 at Otto Jarstad Park. Thanks to John Stacy for organizing the silent auction and everyone who donated items.

Kitsap Salmon Tours:Kitsap Salmon Tours are happening on November. 7th, 2026. We typically host guests alongside other organizations at Otto Jarstad Park where we will be doing a salmon lifecycle game, salmon autopsies, etc.

Dues: Please make sure you are caught up on your 2026 annual dues. Dues serve the community through camp scholarships, salmon in the classroom, Kid’s fishing party, etc. You can pay on the web at
